Maynard Sonntag – Past President & CEO of

Silver Sage Housing Corporation

Born and raised on a small family farm in northern Saskatchewan, Maynard worked as a manager in the Credit Union system for 12 years but his passion was politics and social justice. He was elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 1991 and served under Premiers Roy Romanow and Lorne Calvert for 16 years as an MLA and cabinet minister, which included the creation of the Ministry of First Nations and Metis Relations. Since leaving government Maynard has been the President & CEO of Silver Sage Housing. Of the many experiences in life he describes this job as one of the “most rewarding of all. On a daily basis, you really get to see the results of all of the great work our team does.”
