Vacancy Rates

  • With the economic slowdown, vacancy rates have been rising in Saskatoon over the past year.

  •  Housing with affordable rental rates tends to have a lower vacancy rate.
  • Coupled with waiting lists at the Saskatoon Housing Authority and various non-profit housing organizations in Saskatoon, there is evidence that there is a need for affordable housing, especially for larger family units.
